I first of all would like to say thank you to my current followers/readers and thank you to all those who will follow me in the future. Your support means the world to me. I do not take it for granted. Today I want to talk about a direction I am feeling impressed to take my blog in. What I’m about to talk about is more of a project. I think it will be interesting.

I don’t usually include people in my photos. Unless like this one, it does not show faces. However, I love the way this one came out. I love the feel that the human element adds to it. This was not the only couple that I came across while there. They both smiled at me and waved. Maybe it was their kindness that drew me in. Photography for me is about capturing the moments of life that I want to remember. Moments like this one.
These are the most interesting little creatures. From what I have gathered they are called sand crabs. They mainly come out at night to feed. I think it is really interesting how they crawl sideways. They have all of these tiny little holes that they have dug and if you get too close to them and they get scared, they move very fast into them.

These were taken on the vacation I took with my family this past summer in Duck, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks on my daily sunrise walks.

I love how the texture in this photo just brings out the texture of the tree and the beauty in the details of the shape of the tree limbs. This photo was taken on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in Duck. What once was dead is now made alive again. This is really a first at trying this kind of technique, but I am looking forward to doing more of it.
