Hanging Rock State Park Lower Cascades

This was a fun little trip. This place is only about 15 minutes from my home. My roommate and I and a mutual friend of ours, decided to go one Sunday afternoon. It was a little overcast, but I still really enjoyed myself and the fact the weather was fair was an added bonus. It was a very beautiful afternoon.

These are steps leading to the falls!
I took off my shoes and surprisingly the water actually felt really good.

Beautiful Spring Light

I love everything about this photo. I love the colors, the light and composition. This shot was very much intentional. I was hoping that my idea came out at least ok, but it came out way better than I expected. As I am writing this post, I am reminded of a storybook image for some reason.

Flowering Dogwood

Normally, I do not prefer the harsh and direct sunlight. However, I really see how it worked in my favor with this photo. I wish the beautiful colors of spring would stay around all year. At least until the fall season. These are some of the most beautiful trees in my opinion.

My Newest Squirrel Image!

It’s not often I get to photograph squirrels with this much clarity. They move so fast. I had to stand so still and move very fast. Thankfully I had my telephoto lens with me. I think he looked up when he (maybe a she) heard my camera shutter click. Probably one of the best images of a squirrel I have ever taken. I am really happy with how it came out.

Happy Spring 2025

I know I’m a few days late but I hope everyone is having a wonderful springtime so far. I know I am. I am especially enjoying the warmer weather. I don’t like the pollen but this is probably my second season of the year. So much beauty as opposed to what we’ve seen all winter long. I love photographing the trees as they come into bloom!

Springtime Is Coming

So in love with how this photo came out. This was taken on a tree in front of my home. I love the way Bradford pear trees look when they are bloom, however, in my opinion they smell horrible when they are in the blooming stage. Thankfully spring is right around the corner.

Birds Of The Beach

It is almost that time of year. Ugh, I can’t wait. I had to go ahead and post these images. I couldn’t wait. I love to photograph birds at the beach. I love watching how they interact with each other. It’s really quite amusing sometimes. I love watching how they glide over the water so peacefully. I love how free they are. These were taken on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in Southern Shores on my family vacation in 2024.

Birds and Feeders

It’s always so much fun sitting on my friend’s porch and watch the birds come and go. His bird feeders attract many different kinds of birds. As sat and watched the birds, I couldn’t help but think of the verse in the Bible where it talks about if God looks after the birds, He will look after me. It’s beautiful how God will use nature to remind us of these blessings!

Fall At Salem Lake Park and Trail

I know we are way past fall season. Here some photos I took on the last couple of days of fall last year in a park local to my home. This park is beautiful and has a long walking trail. This is Salem Park in Winston Salem, NC. I only walked a small part of the trail. I wanted to walk more and wish I would’ve walked more but I got there too late and I had to go to an event at my folks house. I am happy though with the images I was able to capture.
